Sr. Business Analyst

This position serves as a liaison between the business
community
and the Information Technology organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Works as part of a project team to gather business requirements and create functional specifications needed to develop software applications that meet or exceed customer expectations. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology applications.
Work as part of a project team to meet or exceed customer expectations
Follow and demonstrate an understanding of adopted processes/methodologies
Analyze and gather business requirements from internal/external customers for assigned projects.
Document detailed business requirements, create functional specifications, and produce additional documentation required by approved methodology.
Communicate with internal/external customers regarding requirements, approval on mock-ups, etc.
Represent DRC and act as a key resource/liaison to internal and external customers.
Work with SQA to plan and implement user acceptance testing
Create training materials and provide training to system users
May provide work direction/assignments to others
Coach and mentor others
Identify changes in scope as they occur and notify appropriate team members.
Demonstrate an understanding of impact analysis concepts.
Provide estimate of hours needed to complete assigned tasks/project, with assistance as needed
Provide input to schedules and follow accordingly to meet project deadlines
Ensure deliverables are produced according to costumer specifications.
Identify solutions to solve problems, improve processes, and meet customer requests.
Perform other duties as needed
Bachelor's degree in MIS,
computer
Science, or related field

years business analysis experience
Familiarity with requirements gathering tools/technique
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work successfully both independently and in teams
Experience with business process redesign
