The successful candidate will:
Have extensive in-depth knowledge and experience analyzing and applying federal and state laws, regulations and regulator guidance, self-regulatory programs, and corporate policies related to:
Privacy, especially financial privacy
Solicitation, including telemarketing and email marketing
Online/digital and mobile privacy
Consumer privacy notice and disclosure requirements
Have familiarity with social media, including common social media platforms and their terms of use and privacy policies.
Be proficient at supporting business groups in marketing campaigns, affiliate sharing arrangements, cross-selling, joint marketing relationships.
Have experience with reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and editing privacy-related contractual terms, and working with clients to interpret and apply those contractual terms.
Have current working knowledge and practical experience with federal and state data breach notification laws.
Be knowledgeable concerning laws related to e-commerce, mobile commerce, and information security.
Advise and support marketing, operations, and risk managers in design and development of electronic financial products and services, including in online and mobile banking, so that they comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Advise and support IT professionals, technologists, system architects, and data security professionals in the design and implementation of large and often enterprise-wide, global, or multinational technology and operations projects.
Work with legal issues involving server technology, database architecture, information networks, and international service delivery of technology and telecommunications infrastructure for the company's internal business units.
Be proficient with intellectual property, licensing, information security, and export-import laws and government standards related to technology.
Be proficient with advising risk managers and compliance managers in the above areas and supporting them in the development of practical operational processes that control risk and ensure compliance.
Be proficient at drafting accurate and easily understandable communications to diverse audiences in the above areas, including consumer privacy policies, colleague training materials, client presentations, legal guidance and summaries, and public comment letters and other communications to regulators.
Be skilled and efficient with gathering information in a fast-paced business environment, understanding business needs and goals, detecting legal issues and obstacles, identifying legal solutions and alternatives, and succinctly and competently counseling and communicating with senior executives and mid-level managers regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives.
Basic Qualifications

years experience as a practicing attorney. Juris Doctorate. State Bar membership is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to provide research, counsel and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries. Ability to analyze legal issues in substantive law in area of practice, provide effective advice to clients on routine legal matters. Strong verbal and written communications skills; interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working as part of a geographically diverse leadership team. Excellent presentation skills that gain the trust and confidence of business management, including senior management. Customer service-oriented.

years of recent and continuous relevant legal experience working in a financial services law department or in the financial services practice group of a law firm.
Extensive knowledge of financial privacy.
General knowledge of consumer and commercial deposit and lending laws, payments system laws, ecommerce laws, and residential mortgage lending laws.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
