Stand-Up Forklift Operator/Freight Handler - TEMP to HIRE!!

SUMMARY
The Forklift Driver must be able to drive a Crown Stand-Up Reach Fork Lift. Materials (typically cartons) must be pushed, pulled, lifted, stacked, or tiered in the warehouse. Regular activities are to include shipping, receiving, and general labor tasks.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement or lifting apparatus
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials. Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch and transport loads to designated areas
- Operates company equipment with total regard for safety of the operator, coworkers, and product
- Move product throughout the distribution center and removes empty skids as assigned
- Inventory materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed
- Keeps all products and materials in a neat order and cleans work area prior to the completion of each shift
- May weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules
- Load or unload materials by hand onto or off or pallets, skids, or lifting device
Working hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm (Part Time & Full Time)
QUALIFICATIONS
--Experienced, trained, and certified with past job experience
--Minimum of 2 years previous Distribution/Warehousing Center experience preferred
EMPLOYEE MUST CONSENT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND AND DRUG SCREENING PRIOR TO BEING PLACED ON ASSIGNMENT
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
--Ability to operate tools or power equipment in a safe manner and adhere to all safety regulations at all times
--Perform miscellaneous work as directed by supervisor
--Must possess the ability to work in a variety of positions including prolonged standing, frequent bending and lifting
--Must be able to work in excess of eight hours per day and greater than forty hours per work. Additionally, he/she must be able to meet the physical demands of a variety of functions as described above
