The Veterans Affairs Health Care System (VAHCS) in Minneapolis, Minnesota seeks a full-time BE/BC Vascular Surgery Specialist.
The Minneapolis VAHCS is a busy tertiary care medical center which provides vascular surgical services to Veterans with complex vascular disease. The successful applicant must have completed an approved fellowship in Vascular Surgery with endovascular training.
In addition, the candidate should have significant post-fellowship open and endovascular experience. The applicant will be asked to provide a recent operative case list. The Minneapolis VAMC is affiliated with the University of Minnesota and the applicant should be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level at the University of Minnesota, Department of Surgery. A significant tract record in research is strongly preferred. Experience and dedication to supervising and training vascular fellows, residents and medical students is a requirement.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
