Digital Press Operator

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating large format digital printing equipment to Imagine production and quality standards, within budget and on time. Daily activity will include material handling and finishing as assigned.
DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
1) Ability to operate and troubleshoot HP7600, Durst, AGFA Large Format Flatbed Presses.
2) Operates Equipment
3) Understands and follows work order direction. Questions to the point of clarity, as necessary.
4) Produces product to spec, within budget, and in expected timeframe.
5) Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine standards on various substrates, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
6) Accounts for all labor and material consumed on job by job basis
7) Perform routine functions to insure optimal printing conditions. (i.e. Change empty ink, bi hourly maintenance bath procedures and print bed cleanliness)
8) Monitors output quality through course of a run.
9) Maintains a clean work area.
10) Assists other print operators in material handling as necessary.
11) Deals with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner as needed.
12) Responsible for the disposal of garbage and recycling bins in the digital press area.
13) Works overtime when needed.
14) Performs other tasks as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to maneuver and lift heavy substrates from above-waist position and load on and off press
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to bend, lift and squat while loading substrates on and off presses repetitively
Environment is moderately noisy
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. constantly and up to100 lbs. frequently
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Proficient in Caldera, Adobe Suite, GMG.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows Operating Systems
Must possess high mechanical aptitude
Good written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to follow and document procedures
Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and set up press to carry out instructions.
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions and problem-solving on press.
Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to work station.
Demonstrate positive safety attitude.
