Minco is seeking am experienced Assembler to work for our Sensors Production department. This position will assemble standard or recurring components. Learns processes and activities, demonstrates manual dexterity, color recognition, and basic math skills, and applies training. The ability to work with small components under a microscope is preferred.
Understands written and verbal instructions relating to work product specifications, and part tolerances to understand the steps, tools, and equipment required to assemble components and product elements; is qualified in primary areas and some skills will cross operations.
Verifies appropriate tools, materials, and equipment are available to complete the assigned work process; selects and operates tools and equipment as trained and certified.
Complies with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment, quality products, and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety, sanitary, and related equipment or gear.
Completes appropriate paperwork and/or enters limited data regarding materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other operations to ensure records and actions are accurate.
Identifies quality at the source and communicates with production leads, supervisors, co-workers, maintenance, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.
Handles and labels tools, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices; individuals are also responsible for handling and labeling hazardous materials and waste based on area of assignment.
Receives training and guidance regarding quality, equipment, and operations; effectively applies feedback, changes, and process updates.
Assists with maintaining a clean and safe working environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks within work area.
Assists with providing training on limited processes, equipment, and work instructions within the area; continues to learn other areas and processes.
Identifies required information and data to complete paperwork; completes paperwork based on standards and work methods.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent GED
Two years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
Additional
Qualifications:
Demonstrate the ability to assemble components timely and with high quality;
Demonstrate the ability to perform basic math;
Demonstrate the ability for visual elements, such as color, measurements, and shapes;
Demonstrate the ability to perform manual movements that require dexterity and motor control;
Following verbal and written instructions;
Lifting and loading materials;
Following safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures;
Handling and labeling hazardous materials based on area of assignment;
Understanding of basic PC skills, such as data entry and operation is preferred;
Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction
Basic knowledge of Lean concepts is preferred.

Physical requirements:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
