Engineering Manager
Danfoss Power Solutions, Controls Division, Minneapolis
Danfoss Power Solutions seeks an Engineering Manager to directly lead the sustainment engineering and process development teams and provide technical and administrative direction of products within the product lines. Successful performance requires a broad-based knowledge of manufacturing techniques and systems and the ability to apply appropriate method, procedures, practices and policies so as to achieve an economical and efficient operation. Effective leadership will include the ability to demonstrate total quality in the production, cost, delivery and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Direct responsibility for Sustainment Engineering and Process Development
Acts as an expert resource regarding process/product knowledge specific to areas of responsibility.
Translate consumer needs and business objectives into actual products and processes that satisfy consumer needs and meet established business criteria
Effectively combine sound technical knowledge and competence with managerial skills to successfully meet agreed upon business objectives with efficient use of available resources
Ensure high-quality components in customer solutions, adding value to the end products
Work effectively in a global, cross functional and multi-cultural environment
Drive continuous improvement of Engineering methods to constantly raise the bar on our capabilities
Accurately assess skills of the team members against needs and address gaps
Qualifications
Experienced Engineer and Leader
BS in Engineering, Electrical preferred, with 5
years' experience
Strong understanding of Project Management disciplines and tools, PDP or similar product development process and LabVIEW programming
Familiar with quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, Gage R&R, Control Plans, etc.)
Advanced skills in CAE and CAD; Unigraphics NX preferred
Ability to work in global team environment with proven leadership, interpersonal communication skills, strong facilitation and analytical skills.
