Responsibilities
The Tutoring Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Learning Assistance Center Supervisor with day-to-day operations and future expansion of the FlexPath Tutoring program. The Coordinator will support hiring and training of tutors, establish and manage processes and resources, and provide administrative support for sustained growth and improvement of the program.
Coordinate tutor hiring process
Work with Human Resources and Financial Aid and other stakeholders on recruitment efforts.
Develop and maintain tutor job descriptions for each program (e.g., Psychology, IT) and vet with School leadership.
Schedules interviews and compile follow up interviewer feedback and ratings. Coordination includes involving of Faculty Chairs and other key stakeholders.

Potentially conducts screening interviews
Deliver tutor training
Coordinate and conduct tutor training. Track tutor completion and identify ongoing tutor training needs.
Develop and maintain tutor training materials; maintain and improve materials and resources as necessary.
Assist students/tutors in resolving problems. Escalate problems or concerns to supervisor as appropriate.
Tutoring Program Support
Serve as point-of-contact for tutors; assist with troubleshooting systems issues (e.g., access, CRM usage, etc.).
Coordinate tutor/course assignments; communicate schedules to Tutors, Course ops, Coaches, and Faculty.
Approve time and track accrual of work study hours weekly.
Generate and maintain regular reports to be shared with LAC supervisor, tutors, and other stakeholders (e.g., course enrollment file, CRM Notes report).
Coordinate regular tutor team meetings, take notes, and provide follow up materials.
Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of tutoring program(s) across the organization and facilitate communication among tutors and other stakeholders.
Establish and maintain a Tutor Resource repository.
Support operational process improvement as program evolves and grows.

Additional duties as assigned by LAC supervisor.
Attends all scheduled meetings with LAC supervisor. Attends initial and continuous training sessions as required.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in education or psychology preferred or commensurate work experience.

Experience: 3-5 years minimum work experience in education, training, or psychology fields. Project or program coordination experience with demonstrated strong performance. Experience with online tutoring management systems (e.g., Tutor Track, Accudemia).
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and high comfort level with using technology.
Self-starter who is comfortable working within ambiguity.
Ability to continuously evaluate work priorities and make adjustments as needed throughout day/week.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with a diverse population.
Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, changing professional environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

This is an on-site position located at Capella's downtown Minneapolis headquarters. It requires the ability to work in downtown Minneapolis and in a high-rise corporate office setting. Typical of a corporate office setting, Capella's office space:
is designed with an open work space setting and common fluorescent lighting
includes frequent co-worker interaction and corresponding noise levels
is subject to inside environmental conditions
Sedentary work:
this role is mainly a sedentary role with frequent sitting and occasional walking and/or standing.
this role involves frequent usage of a telephone, PC and standard monitors.
this role has minimal lifting requirements, may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Requires minimal (0-10 percent) business travel:
may occasionally require travel to on-site Capella events such as Commencement or off-site Capella University leadership meetings as requested and based on business needs. All travel must be pre-approved and arrangements made according to Capella's policies/procedures.
Workhours:
the University's general office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. Work hours and starting times may vary depending on the job and the business needs. Some positions will have a specified starting time, and may be earlier or later, depending upon business requirements.
the normally scheduled workweek for all full-time employees consists of 40-45 hours.
