59 PM CentralSummary of Position Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, this position provides staff support, leadership, and instruction for a variety of indoor pre-school athletic programs throughout the school year.
It is a part-time seasonal position featuring work from September- May will act as positive role model while leading games, activities, and athletic drills for kids ages 3 - 5 years of age.
General program hours are Wednesday afternoon/evenings for 6-12 hours per month.
Expected Hours of WorkTypical hours are one day a week with an expected 6-12 hours per month.
Program hours are typically Wednesday evenings September - May.

Essential Functions:
Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience for all program participants and staff.
Assists in the planning, organizing, and leadership of activities, rules, and curriculum for pre-school athletic programsOrganize and coordinate program supplies inventory.
Completes required reports, evaluations, and documentation for participants, incidents, feedback, and property damage.
Provide support for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment.
Attend and participate in all staff trainings and meetings.
Ensure participants and staff follow the established policies and procedures.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have employee supervisory responsibilities.
However, staff will oversee programs, participants, and facility users to ensure safety, enforcement of rules/regulations, and provide direction for part-time/temporary staff and volunteers as needed.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.
Experience working with youth athletics.
Possess knowledge, skills, and creativity required to lead youth athletic activities.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and techniques.
Ability to work independently and with people of all ages and abilities.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Available to work an evening schedule.
Desired Qualifications Experience working in the field(s) of parks and recreation or education.
Experience implementing and coordinating recreational athletic programs.
Experience coaching with youth between the ages of 3-10.

Staff will frequently read and interpret documents, including safety manuals and operating procedures.
Staff will frequently traverse around the community center, golf course, and patio/decks.
Will occasionally lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
