Seeking a Senior Engineer, Embedded Firmware for Class II and III medical devices.
Responsible for leading embedded firmware development for neuromodulation platforms and ASICS.
Develops code for active and passive implantable/external medical devices.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure high-quality product introductions.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Utilizes UML tools, cross compilers, and version control tools for firmware design.
Creates and reviews test software requirements.
Oversees contractors' work on the project.
Assists in mechanical and electrical device design.
Architects, develops, and executes firmware.
Creates user and system documentation.
Participates in product development meetings and design reviews.
Specifies and assembles development prototypes.
Ensures medical device components comply with international standards.
Maintains software/hardware design history files and participates in phase reviews.
Reports defects to stakeholders and provides input for device design improvement.
Ensures reliable attendance and compliance with company, quality, and safety standards.
Performs other assigned duties.
