Position SummaryThe Vice President (VP) Clinical Services is responsible for providing overall strategic direction and leadership to ensure accomplishment of operational excellence, and clinical outcomes, patient safety, health equity and patient experience for clinical programs and patient care units throughout the organization.
The VP Clinical Services will collaborate with senior leaders and medical directors in all areas of oversight to advance goals, program vision, and coordinate efforts across the organization.
Additionally, this role will function as the primary labor management partner, in collaboration with labor relations.
This position is responsible for overall operations and fiscal management, care models and quality improvement of the described departments, as well as the preparation, implementation and achievement of strategic plans resulting in cost-effective, sustainable operations in all areas of oversight.
The VP Clinical Services will be a member of the nursing leadership team responsible for the development and execution of the nursing strategic plan and maintenance of Magnet designation.
Responsible for ensuring effective communications among physician leaders, providers, and other health care disciplines throughout the organization and is able to ensure continual collaboration.
The VP Clinical Services leads, directs, and develops a direct report team and creates a positive and engaging work environment that fosters respect, inclusivity and teamwork.

This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and SVP of Patient Care Services.

PaulLicense/Certification/Registration:
Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota or eligible for licensure required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required.
Master's degree in healthcare related field (preferably nursing, MBA with healthcare focus, or MHA) preferred.
Professional nursing certification preferred (or achieved within 1 year of hire).
Experience:
Minimum 15 years related clinical experience.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing nursing practices and clinical operations in a complex health care organization.
Strong strategic thinking, financial management, adaptive change leadership, positive employee/labor relations, workforce recruitment and development and communication skills required.
Has a track record of collaborating across functions to achieve organizational goals and development of nursing leadership and programs that advances clinical outcomes.
Exhibits ability to serve as a trusted nurse advocate and strong consensus builder with successful track record of developing partnerships among multiple stakeholders to include executives, physicians and nursing staff/leadership.
Track record of establishing efficient and effective systems that support the delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes within all disciplines throughout the system.
Demonstrated commitment to patient care excellence, health equity, customer service, collaborative and respectful relationships, life long learning and continual improvement.
Able to lead and motivate groups and individuals.
Knowledge of the Magnet recognition program and regulatory requirements as it relates to quality, safety and patient outcomes.
Able to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally.
Able to overcome obstacles to cooperation and to foster harmonious relations.
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and see projects through to completion.

Demonstrated ability to effectively operationalize a strategic vision and implement both long- and short-term plans to manage transformation within a complex health care system.
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and tools, with an understanding and experience in applying lean philosophies and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to use data driven decision making balanced with empathetic leadership.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
