Summary:
At Home and Co is under new ownership.
As we grow and expand the business, we are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our high-end interior design studio as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operations of our studio, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records.
The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the design team and maintaining financial stability within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily administrative operations of the studio.
Maintain and update studio records, including client databases and vendor contacts.
Assist in the studio area, greeting retail visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
Perform bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accurate financial records.
Maintain inventory records, track office supplies, and initiate purchase orders as needed.
Provide weekly updates on in house sales, billable times and project hourly billing.
Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Help or manage IT systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in business or accounting related field.
Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Proven experience (at least 5 years) in office management and bookkeeping, preferably within the interior design or creative industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office suite with knowledge of HOUZZ and Micro BIZ preferred, or ability to learn.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Possess strong customer service skills.
