Position Purpose The Sr. Manager, Facilities will enable high performance of all facilities by fostering and supporting our culture of continuous growth and innovation. This position will develop and execute an enterprise-wide facility operations and maintenance strategy to assure building optimization and reliability. The Sr. Facilities Manager will be responsible for a team focused on building systems, fire/life safety, predictive and preventative maintenance, administrative services, and related vendor management to support the overall goals and success for all sites. This leader will also collaborate with cross-functional leaders to deliver solutions for challenging problems and support the rollout of new sites. Primary Responsibilities Lead building operations and services for Sleep Number's enterprise-wide corporate buildings. Project management of all facility-related construction & maintenance projects to support all departments and new corporate buildings. Conduct condition assessments on each site to utilize in lease negotiations and to prepare short/long term expense & capital plans. Implement and manage high-functioning IWMS and develop predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency of all building systems. Provide direction and ensure effectiveness of internal facility management team members and external vendors/contractors. Lead RFP process to identify and secure external partnerships to perform specialized facilities work. Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering to ensure facilities are aligned with business needs. Oversee all expense and capital repair & maintenance activities for all retail stores ensuring adherence to brand, safety, and customer parameters. Support the strategy, planning, management, and effective space utilization for all sites. Develop and lead the administrative services function to ensure conference rooms, copiers, safety and emergency preparedness, security, workplace planning, etc. are all functioning at peak effectiveness. Prepare annual operating budget and manage the financial performance of facility management function. Partner with security services for all of Sleep Number's worksites. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Facility Management or related field 8
years' experience in facility management and administrative services with progressive responsibilities 5
years' experience leading team members in efficient operations Comprehensive understanding of facility management practices and systems, including construction administration and vendor management. Established skills in effective space utilization, safety/emergency management, and high-profile project management Expertise in developing department processes and utilizing Facility Management technology Demonstrated ability to understand complex problems, rapidly identify solutions, and communicate with all levels of leadership and partners Experience in preparing and managing budgets Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) designation or similar (CCM, FMA, etc.) is preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of facility management practices and systems, including construction administration and vendor management Understanding of RFP process and contractual agreements Ability to manage operational budget and analyze financial reports Skilled in developing strong customer service rapport Ability to resolve complex facility issues Extensive knowledge of facility management technologies (IWMS, BAS, CMMS, AutoCAD, etc.) Knowledge of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), fire codes, and other concepts High sense of urgency, task oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Self-motivated, agile and ability to work in an autonomous environment Working Conditions Standard office environment; occasional warehouse environment Job may require reaching, bending, working at elevation and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. This position requires travel 10-25% of time otherwise this position is based at our Headquarters facility in Minneapolis, Minnesot
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
