The Director Compensation Consultation is responsible for the strategic design, leadership, and execution of impactful compensation infrastructure, communications, programs, and policies to align with the mission, core values, business objectives, culture, and compensation philosophy of the ministry. Manage a team of consultants who serve as subject matter experts to HR and leaders by providing specialized technical knowledge and consultation on job evaluations, market analysis, offer recommendations, equity studies, incentive plan design and governance, and lead compensation projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead the strategy, design, administration, and governance of compensation programs, processes, and policies, including incentive plan design, governance, and administration. Lead a team of compensation consultants dedicated to providing proactive, innovative solutions to compensation matters; oversee individual performance and growth, providing guidance and development opportunities to direct reports. Counsel HR and business leaders on pay decisions, compensation practices, and policy and guideline interpretation. Guide the decision-making process and final outcome by providing detailed analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice. Collaborate with HR and business leadership to develop project plans for major initiatives and manage throughout implementation, ensuring effective communications and adherence to budget and timelines. Lead cross-functional workgroup driving solutions that impact employee pay including mergers and acquisitions, system-wide cost-saving initiatives, audit findings, compensation program system development, integration and implementation. Provide feedback on analytical work conducted by consultants and partners and communicate results of analyses and associated recommendations to business leaders. Serve as the compensation subject matter expert for labor relations activity, partnering closely with the labor relations team to provide data and modeling during negotiations; know and understand existing CBAs and ensure represented associates are considered when implementing market adjustments, revising job descriptions and changing pay practices. Educate HR and business leaders and provide counsel on compensation philosophy, regulatory issues, the utilization of competitive salary data, and other compensation matters. Provide related compensation support for the organization as needed:
ad hoc reports and analyses, special projects, etc. Maintain awareness of latest trends, best practices, and regulations regarding compensation, including not-for profit and for profit. EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, HR or related field. Master's Degree Preferred Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Preferred 7
years of progressive experience in compensation theory and practice, business consultation, job evaluation methodologies, incentive plan design and governance, FLSA and regulations related to Compensation. Previous project management and experience leading a team is required. Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Experience developing and administering compensation programs, including incentive plan design and governance for large scale organizations with complex and matrixed structures. Experience leading and mentoring others. Experience in healthcare field. Experience using HR Management and Compensation software.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
