Your Opportunity The Grant Development Specialist will work together with multiple business centers, regions, sectors and business line leaders to develop client relationships, to help lead grant applications and business development activities, pursue opportunities in the public and private sectors, and continue our growth and success in the US Central Region. This role will focus on research and development of grant funding opportunities and coordination of grant funding (identifying, collecting data, writing, directing) with multiple business lines and geographies. The position is responsible for advancing organizational strategies and programs related to government and private funding opportunities. The position reports directly to the North American Funding Program Leader. The Grant Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in leading the way in diversifying our client and project base and positioning the firm to secure new business. Your Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate government and private funding opportunities for their strategic, financial, and programmatic value to our clients (public and private). Serve as a funding expert on multiple levels, including communication with team members to keep them informed on current opportunities and trends. Lead efforts to research, acquire and develop projects that meet funding opportunities. Facilitate and/or lead relationships with funding agencies. Represent Stantec in collaborative planning forums with organizations, as needed, to apply for funding. Development and maintenance of industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, partners and potential recruits. Understand procurement, market trends and business outlook within sectors. Identify cross-selling opportunities. Translate client/business needs into effective business development strategies and corresponding marketing collateral and selling material. Meet and build relationships with targeted clients with the objective of introducing Stantec and increasing our exposure for that specific program and project pursuit and related ones. Develop and/or assist in defining overall team project pursuit plan win strategy. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Exceptional knowledge of requirements related to federal, state, and foundational funding sources. Grant writing abilities for large multi-faceted projects, often utilizing numerous grant programs and funding sources. Deep understanding of market assessment techniques, insights, and contacts. Proven success in developing new clients and maintaining strong client relationships. Intimate knowledge of industry trends and leaders. Experience in responding to Requests for Proposals, Expressions of Interest, and Statements of Qualification. Strong business development skills, including significant experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base (such experience within a consulting organization is considered a strong asset). Exceptional leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and team-building skills. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent in planning, public policy, business, marketing or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business Development, Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
