Position
Summary:
The Marketing Scrum master is responsible for facilitating, creating, and maintaining an Agile process for multiple marketing scrum teams at Bio-Techne.
The Scrum Master is a player on the team, a coach, and the principal roadblock identifier and remover to keep the teams running as smoothly as possible.
This position interfaces with team members and stakeholders from varying departments, time zones and skill sets and will be key in creating an environment of collaboration and safety to produce high quality marketing campaigns.
As a member of the Scrum Master team, you will also help identify new ways to navigate Bio-Techne's agile transformation.
Key
Responsibilities:
Serve as Scrum Master for multiple marketing scrum teams across various time zones.
Monitor scrum processes and scrum ceremonies including but not limited to Daily Stand Up, Planning, Refinement, Retrospectives and Reviews.
Have a focus of achieving team efficiency through focus, change management, commitment, and roadblock removal.
Coach Product Owners towards effective agile practices and can effectively master workflow management tools.
Ensure transparency by effectively communicating and documenting the outcomes of team meetings to stakeholders and/or team members when appropriate.
Identify need for and organize agile marketing training for internal teams to teach agile values and principles using the scrum framework in agile marketing.
Facilitate communication and learning across scrum teams to uncover hidden causes of dysfunction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Negotiate working agreements with stakeholders, business teams and scrum teams to ensure alignment for scrum team's success Onboard new marketing team members into the agile marketing process.
Effectively coach stakeholders and scrum team members toward creating an environment of collaboration and open-mindedness when working in the scrum process.
Thrives in the conversion of teams into an agile process by creating positive change management attitudes, teaching the why, and helping teams stick to the process.
Education and
Experience:
Firm understanding of and passion for agile values and principles.
Experience working in the scrum framework, preferably within a marketing setting.
Excellent communicator with ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Process oriented mindset with courage to speak up to help uncover new innovative ways to streamline workflow process Natural ability to assume and personify the stances of a Scrum Master:
impediment remover, facilitator, coach, teacher, servant leader, manager, change agent, mentor.
Highly organized with the ability to deliver high quality work while meeting tight deadlines and working on multiple teams simultaneously.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders that are globally dispersed and build good working relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred fields of Marketing or Information Technology.
3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Program/Project Manager.
1-2 years of people management experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
Experience working at a Life Sciences or Clinical Diagnostics company preferred.
Knowledge of ServiceNow preferred.
