2 Contract 8 hours ago Full Job Description Job Summary The Whole-Person Wellbeing Content Specialist is contractor who will serve as subject matter expert in complementary or integrative health and wellness.
The incumbent is responsible for the ideation, research, preparation, coordination, writing, and editing of content to drive awareness, engagement, and activation.
Provide timely integrative health and wellbeing content delivery for both digital and offline platforms consistent with overall content strategy.
Inspire a whole-person-wellbeing philosophy to program participants, team members, and other community members in accordance with our values, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions Collaborate with the Integrative Health and Wellbeing (IHW) and Digital Marketing departments and other key stakeholders to gain understanding of the short- and long-term marketing/content strategies.
Develop ongoing IHW specific content strategy and calendar in alignment with the organizational content strategy.
Create high-quality, evidence-based content to maximize target audience awareness, interest, and engagement across marketing and internal communications channels, while integrating values of diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
Initiate content-topic ideation/concepting and related research in collaboration with other IHW team members.
Coordinate with IHW and digital marketing teams to determine/confirm subject-matter experts for content contributors and on-camera talent.
Write original content for articles, emails, social media, website, blog posts and podcasts, or provide content review and editing support.
Research topics, write, and/or edit content for various client materials (e.
g.
, curriculum development support, modality-specific handouts).
Outline and, when applicable, draft scripts for production of on-camera digital assets (e.
g.
, short wellbeing tips, presentation of wellbeing modalities, cooking demonstrations).
Review digital assets shared by the digital marketing team (when in post-production) and provide suggested edits.
Also review related social media content descriptions and provide digital marketing team suggested edits.
Proactively leverage content production management tools to ensure ongoing tracking of content development status and delivery within established timelines (e.
g.
, content development tracker for video recordings).
Ensure that the content is compliant with the copyright laws.
Maintain consistency in content and ensure alignment with the YMCA of the North brand.
Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusivity is considered in all content creation.
Trainer for on-camera talent development.
Represent the YMCA in the community, participating in public relations, community outreach, and promotional activities Relationships This contracted position reports to the VP of Whole-person Wellbeing who reports to the CEO/President.
While primarily interacting with the integrative health and wellbeing team, as well as digital marketing team.
Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communication, media production, journalism, English or a related field Proven work experience as a content creator, copywriter or similar role with at least at least three years of experience creating content for the integrative health and wellbeing, holistic health or similar space A portfolio of published examples demonstrating content creation expertise across media, including digital and offline deliverables Working knowledge of SEO Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills An ability to research and fact-check to ensure all content is evidence-based Excellent time-management skills Ability to work independently and as member of a team Competencies:
