Job SummaryThe Quality Assurance Automation Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining an automation framework with associated standards and best practices, coaching, and mentoring less experienced automation team members while regularly assessing efforts to ensure a high-value and minimal maintenance automation suite.
Create awareness across IT of automation capabilities, challenges, and areas for collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops, maintains, and optimizes an automation framework Develops, documents, and ensures adherence to automation standards and best practices Supports and mentors the Quality Assurance Automation team Educates all scrum team members regarding automation needs, capabilities and limitations Works collaboratively with manual Quality Assurance team members to review test cases for automation Demonstrates awareness of project timelines to ensure automation is providing results in a timely manner Codes test cases identified for automation Executes automated tests and report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, document accordingly Identifies areas for continuous improvement and, with leadership, peers, or others, implement initiatives improving overall capability and efficiency Collaborates with management to create a yearly automation roadmap; ensure work aligns to the plan and suggests adjustments to plan based on changing needs Speaks to the value and builds trust in the automation process Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or 10
years' experience in lieu of degree 8
years of work experience performing automated quality assurance testing activities Experience building out an automation framework Experience integrating automation into CI/CD tools Experience setting up consistent configuration and data for automation Experience with Selenium Experience with Test Management Tools Experience in Scrum methodologies Experience testing web and/or client server applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with Confluence and JIRA Student Loan industry experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
