Overview In collaboration with patients and families, the Outpatient Hand Therapist/Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within the scope of practice.
This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

Responsibilities Responsibilities The therapist partners with the patient and their care providers while performing evaluation and re-evaluation.
Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosis Develops an individualized plan of care through coordination Analyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goalsImplements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patient responseCoordinates care and communicates optimally with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge plan Partners with care team to provide skilled intervention Implements and alters treatment to reflect change in patient status and response to treatmentAssesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate education Documentation/Billing Uses acceptable medical terminology and follows professional practice standards.
Completes documentation in a timely manner per department standardsStays in sync with department billing standards Professional Expectations Prioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
