Decision Science Manager - Workforce Strategy

Job DescriptionAs a Decision Science Manager on our Workforce Strategy Decision Science team, you'll manage a portfolio of decision science work that will help us shape our workforce for the future of retail.
You'll leverage data fluency methodologies to create data-backed recommendations and other deliverables.
You'll work closely with senior-level stakeholders in workforce planning and operations, and you may support other departments across the company as business needs change.
This role is hybrid, which means you must be located within a driveable distance to our Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, MN.
You may be asked to come into the office up to 3 days per week.
What you'll do Manage a portfolio of decision science work across multiple senior-level stakeholders, using analysis techniques to complete requests Align demand within our prioritization framework by understanding the scope, gathering product and resourcing requirements, and establishing an engagement timeline Lead deliverable creation, leveraging data fluency methodologies (e.
g.
, effective storytelling) that include data-backed insights/recommendations and supporting materials Partner closely with Data Science to deliver against high-complexity analytical projects Develop partnerships and work cross-functionally throughout the enterprise Support cross-functional efforts to gather and prepare data for reporting, automation, self-service products, value tracking, and hypothesis testing Seek ways to share outside knowledge and experience with peers, provide insights, and coach new team members Basic Qualifications 5 years of experience in a quantitative or business field 3 years of experience applying analytical techniques to answer business questions and assess business impact 3 years of experience in data visualization and design and communicating technical information Preferred Qualifications Experience in retail or another relevant industry that handles large datasets Experience with workforce strategy or labor analytics Experience with computer programming, SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and/or Power BI Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, management, or supply chain What's in it for youWe're committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
