is seeking senior-level Transmission Planning/Studies Engineers.
This position is posted in multiple POWER office locations with the ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location (please note in the application questions where you prefer to be located).
Roles and Responsibilities This individual will be responsible for interfacing with other engineers in the preparation of computer-based models and performing power system studies on utility transmission/distribution systems and industrial/commercial electrical power systems, including:
feasibility studies, system impact studies, reactive compensation studies, protective relay settings, critical clearing time, stability (transient & dynamic), long/short range planning studies, short circuit, load flow, motor starting, power factor correction, and other related studies.
The level of this engineer requires an individual who has experience participating in the proposal writing process as well as enjoys customer contact to assist in developing new opportunities for POWER.
This person must be able to self-manage, with a strong conceptualization ability and strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills including the capability to explain complex technical issues at a variety of levels to decision-makers and project teams.
Required Education/Experience
Requires a BSEE
Ten (10)
years of experience in electrical engineering system studies
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills including proposal writing, report writing, and other technical writing
Experience with PSSE, PSLF, or other equivalent software packages
Willing to travel (10% or more at times)
Ability to work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment Desired Education/Experience
PE registration (or equivalent)
MSEE

The pay range for this position is $86,000.
00- $187,000.
00 per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
