The starting base rate of pay for the position is $19.

About this Unit:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in an ICU? If so, look no further than the Fairview Southdale ICU.
This exciting unit provides critical care for patients in the Southwest Metro region.
Responsibilities Job Responsibilities The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies.
The NA does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse.
The Nursing Assistant's may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse.
Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include Personal grooming, bathing, toileting, Feeding, Skin care needs (clean and sterile dressing changes), applying ointments/creams, Oral hygiene, Specimen collection/testing, Position/ambulating, Changing linens, Promptly answers call lights.
Assists the nurse in monitoring patient condition.
Accurately takes and records weights, input/output, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rates, respiration, oxygen saturation.
Places patient on/off monitors or equipment.
Reports unusual findings to the RN in a timely manner.
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients.
Orients patient and their family to the environment.
Assures the patient's belongings are accounted for, documented upon admission, transfer and discharge.
Transports patients, equipment, specimen and supplies.
Assures patients get to appointments on time.
Uses transfer belt when assisting patients with transfers and/or ambulation.
Cleans sets up, and maintains rooms and equipment.
Orders and stocks supplies.
Accurately documents tasks performed on appropriate form.
Performs other tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required Qualifications License/Certification/Registration Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
AND ONE or more of the following Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.
Or Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
(Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician) Or Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program.
Or Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire.
This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position.
NOTE:
Individuals who have completed a Nursing Assistant program and are scheduled to take the NA Registry exam will be granted 90 days post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
