About the Role:
The Supplier Engineer supports key projects designed to address service, cost, quality of sourced components and supplier manufacturing processes.
This role serves as the liaison between suppliers and Boston Scientific's operations and divisions to implement changes and resolve technical issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Global Sourcing Category teams to establish and execute category objectives Conducting risk assessment on sourced materials and build installed capacity and capability at suppliers Identifying material cost reduction opportunities and implementing projects (MVIP) to meet plant, division, and category goals Partnering with Supplier Quality Engineering teams to investigate non-conformances of supplied material Planning and executing service risk mitigation measures to ensure component sourcing continuity Engaging with suppliers to develop processes and perform process validation and test method validation Troubleshooting processes on-site at the supplier's manufacturing facility Partnering with internal teams to execute projects to address compliance, process improvement, supplier capability and capacity, and changes to design and specifications as recommended Collaborating with R&D and Product Development teams to research, develop, and evaluate component design requirements to incorporate into supplier process output Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering or Science-based discipline Minimum 2yrs years of manufacturing experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience working with suppliers and material controls Familiar with problem-solving tools and methodologies Experience with test method validation; validation of product and process changes Experience leading projects and using project management tools Experience with plastics technologies and resins Knowledge of BSC products and processes Requisition ID:
