Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe role of Commercial District Manager (CDM) is an exciting opportunity to drive profitable growth and increase market share through strategic distributor partnerships focused on ITW commercial products at retail.
As a CDM, you will play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional ITW showroom and online experience for our valued customers.
Together with the commercial go-to-market team, you will develop and implement commercial programs and strategies, as well as execute strategic account plans for important customers.
Our diverse range of commercial products, including welding machines, filler metals, safety apparel, guns, consumables, and gas apparatus, cater to the fragmented retail market and are offered under multiple brands such as Miller, Hobart, Bernard, Tregaskiss, and more.

In this role, you will cover a territory that includes portions of the north central United States.
The position can be based in the Minneapolis MN, Cedar Rapids IA, or Des Moines IA market.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about consumer behavior and can act as a trusted consultant to our distribution partners.
With a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, you will utilize omni-channel strategies to ensure seamless shopping across various platforms.
Additionally, you will gather valuable insights through market research tools to understand our customers' thoughts and feelings about our brands, products, services, and distribution networks.
Embracing why evolve and why change messaging you will collaborate with our partners, document results, and identify opportunities for growth.
Understanding the path to purchase, you will guide customers through their journey from product awareness to loyalty.
As a CDM, you will be responsible for revenue-generating activities.
This includes initiating and leading distributor sales meetings, working closely with senior distributor leadership and decision makers to drive strategic growth initiatives and explore future partnership opportunities.
You will also focus on enhancing the point-of-sale presence and retail image of ITW Welding Products through effective merchandising in distributor showrooms.
Training programs for distributors, covering ITW product knowledge, marketing initiatives, and business processes, will be implemented under your guidance.
By analyzing market data, consumer preferences, and competitor behavior, you will optimize our channel marketing strategies for maximum impact.
To succeed in this role, you will serve as a liaison between divisions, fostering cross-communication with product management teams, central marketing, and ITW divisional support.
By staying updated on channel trends and current market conditions, you will provide valuable insights and feedback to the divisions.
You will also play a crucial role in communicating our competitive strengths and weaknesses relative to sales, marketing, manufacturing, and management.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
