Job Summary As the administrative coordinator for MDE's new Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Center, you will provide high-level technical and administrative assistance for the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Center.
This position manages, implements, and coordinates the internal equity programming, and activities for MDE and provides administrative support for the EDI Center's external programming.
Duties include:
Providing division-wide administrative and clerical support to leadership and staff to ensure organization efficiency and advancement; Managing, coordinating and facilitating agency wide internal equity, diversity and inclusion initiative efforts to enhance awareness, understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and its ability to enhance and positively impact organizational culture, dynamics and performance to ensure that agency goals and objectives are met; Serve as the division communications coordinator, tehcnical writer, and web content manager; Coordinating and monitoring division budgets and assist in the implementation of fiscal control systems to ensure budget requirements are met.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The below requirements are the screening criteria that resumes will be compared against.

Knowledge of specialized terminology sufficient to support equity, diversity or inclusion programming; Experience with word processing (such as MS Word) sufficient to provide a team of professional staff with high quality word processing needs including preparing memos, reports, newletters, invoices, financial statements, labels and other documents; Experience using computer software applications (such as Excel) to create spreadsheets from a variety of sources and compile lists, spreadhseets, and graphs to track projects and activites.
Preferred Qualifications 3 years of administrative support experience; Experience supporting or managing programming related to equity, diversity or inclusion; Experience with web content management; Accounting/budgeting/expense skills sufficient to review, track, analyze and prepare financial summaries and reports.
