Summary:
The primary objective of Re-Entry Workforce Coach is to provide holistic coaching and case management support for participants with criminal backgrounds (those currently incarcerated and those exiting incarceration) to work with them to reach their credentialed training and employment goals and successful return to the community.
The Re-Entry Workforce Coach will assist with all aspects of Workforce services and deliver those services pre- and post-release, either virtually or at State Facilities, Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility (ACF), aka the workhouse and on site at the EMERGE's Enterprise office at Second Chance.
The Re-Entry Workforce Coach will provide career coaching, assessments, referrals, participate in community engagement and recruitment efforts to address the career and employment needs of those seeking resources and services, engage participants in programs, activities and services resulting in career focused employment experiences and ensure that data and documentation are monitored accordingly and maintained at the highest standards.
The Re-Entry Workforce Coach has high participant contact and engagement through 1:
1 coaching and the direct delivery of program services and activities.

Core Job Functions:
The Re-Entry Workforce Coach performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
Perform regular and consistent recruitment and outreach activities to promote reentry programs, resources and services by participating in information sessions, maintaining regular contact with DOC case managers, attending community meetings and participating in collaborative activities with a variety of partner organizations.
Provide job coaching, advocacy and referral services to participants by proactively identifying barriers to reentry training and assisting participants in overcoming those barriers so that they can successfully reach their goals, referring participants to appropriate internal and external resources and monitoring participant accountability.
Engage participants in career exploration and work readiness activities by providing assessments, guidance and assistance to prepare participants to make decisions about their career choices and education and training options, including completing Individual Employment Plans (IEP), facilitating applications and enrollments in education/training programs and implementing relevant workshops and seminars to develop interviewing and other relevant skills.
Meet all data, reporting and evaluation requirements, including utilizing multiple database systems to maintain accurate and current case files and IEP and other service plans.
Perform any other tasks and duties necessary in order for the agency to meet its mission.

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in human services, adult education, or counseling field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

years of experience in adult reentry, social work, and/or career coaching, including knowledge, skills, and abilities with case management.
Experience in community re-entry best practices.
Experience providing coaching support to participants enrolled in credentialed training programs and working with multiple community and education partners preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively in a mission-driven agency whose clients and staff reflect significant diversity with respect to race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, socio-economic status, nationality and religion.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
Demonstrated skill in facilitating meetings, group workshops, orientations.
Knowledge of current workforce and labor market trends, job development practices, and local companies and community organizations throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area for the purpose of job placements and internship site development.
Knowledge of employment assessments, career laddering, MFIP/ SNAP, refugee, and educational support services.
Understanding of barriers created by poverty and racism.
Valid MN Drivers' License, access to reliable, insured transportation, and the ability to meet agency's driving requirements including proof of insurance.

Working Conditions and Environment:
Incumbent will have a private office/designated workspace in a light industrial/manufacturing environment.
The building is multiple floors and fully accessible and is smoke-free.
Work will include regular local travel.
Working hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8 am-5:
00 pm, but will include occasional evening and weekend hours.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, sometimes loud.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
