A recent internal promotion offers an opportunity for a passionate Business Unit / Division Manager to lead our business channel, Room & Board for Business (RB&B) - - representing $20M
in revenue and a team of 20 professionals.
This hybrid Minneapolis-based role reports to the Director of Business Customer Experience and is responsible for leading our Regional Business Development Managers and our Business Customer Experience Manager.
Working in close partnership, you will set the strategy and vision for continued growth of our business channel.
As the Channel Manager / Division Manager of our business customer channel, you will share your talents with us in the following ways:
Lead the high caliber R&BB team with direct reports including 3 regional sales / business development managers (based in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles) and the Business Customer Experience Manager (who leads at team of 15 business project coordinators).
As a leader of others, this role is accountable to our Leadership Principles in attracting, inspiring and retaining top talent.
Collaborate closely with the omni-channel leaders and the Business Customer Experience Manager to support the needs of the business customer, implement strategies, and identify new ways of working.
Effectively communicate and influence on behalf of the needs of the business priorities, industry best practices, and the R&BB team.
In partnership and in receiving input from others (e.
g.
, R&BB, omni-channel, product, retail and delivery teams), develop a strategic business plan, sales objectives, and strategies for continued growth of the business channel and omni-channels ensuring execution which results in sales and expenses that meet or exceed the business plan.
Collaborate with Brand and PR partners to inform and execute brand strategies in the markets that build brand awareness, increase market share and influence growth of the business community.
Collaborate with the Product Team partners to support business customer project needs, quantities and lead times.
Share industry trends and customer feedback to help build/modify an assortment that meets the needs of the business customer.
Cultivate a culture of rich personal connections where each staff member is engaged and attentive to the needs of the customer, resulting in a growing and loyal customer base.
Empower the R&BB and retail teams to confidently present solutions for potential business customers, while continuously providing options that benefit both the business customer and Room & Board.
Communicate clear expectations, provide specific feedback, and explore meaningful ways to recognize and enrich staff members' experience, development and success.
Lead quarterly presentations and updates of business customer metrics, growth and strategies.
Leverage the tools and technology available to successfully lead all customer engagements and business planning processes (i.
e.
, sales/expense and headcount planning systems, Emailtopia, etc.
).
Continue to build a pipeline of individuals appropriate for the long-term success of the business.
Participate in select industry trade show opportunities, associations, and events supporting the needs of the business development / sales team.
The experience and attributes you'll bring as a Channel Manager / Division Manager:
Possess a minimum of 5-7
years of leading a Company Division/Channel consisting of multiple level leaders and successfully leading and inspiring a regional or national sales team.
Prior experience leading a team selling into the hospitality, multi-family, senior living and/or workspace environments and/or the design and architect communities that serve them is preferred.
