Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst is the primary liaison between the business and IT, representing the interest of internal and external clients and trading partners, to ensure the business function is effective and supported from a technical perspective.
In addition, this candidate will partner with a cross-functional team of experts to design and deliver business reviews that provide valuable insights and influence decision-making.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Works independently with business representatives to fully define the business need and objective for complex and/or strategic initiatives.
Provides advanced business analysis, design, software testing, implementation skills, and influences the outcome of multiple projects including budgeting, execution, implementation, and overall cost.
Performs complex impact assessment of changes to requirements and designs.
Synthesizes complex data from disparate sources to understand the qualitative and quantitative impacts of the business need in the current environment.
Effectively conducts root cause analyses for complex problems using multiple techniques.
Elicits business-related requirements and acceptance criteria as input into IT solutions using relevant elicitation techniques.
Models scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria through matrices, text, and diagrams such as business and/or data process flows and use case narratives.
Recommends testing approach to Quality Assurance partner based on the scope and timelines according to approved standards.
Resolves complex issues or inquiries with minimal assistance or guidance.
Mentors' junior business analysts as appropriate.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or relevant education and experience in lieu of degree 5 years' of demonstrated work experience performing business analysis activities related to systems enhancements and/or IT solutions Experience developing business requirements and acceptance criteria within the SDLC lifecycle.
Experience leading cross functional teams, including business and IT teams.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PPT, Excel, Word and Visio) Advanced ability to solve problems, think critically, and analyze information Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred
Qualifications:
CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) from International Institute of Business Analysis PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) Advanced Agile Scrum Training Experience with Confluence and JIRA Student Loan industry experience is a plus To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
