We have one full-time (.9, 72 hours per two weeks) House Manager opening, working straight nights. Shifts are 12 hours, working every third weekend and every third holiday. Responsibilities The House Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management and supervision of patient care areas during his or her assigned tour of duty. He or she acts as the on-site administrator for REH after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on Call. The House Manager shares responsibility for the evaluation and management of departmental resources. The House Manager coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The House Manager represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24 hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team. Qualifications Minimum Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota RN license. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association and ACLS. Certification in TNCC or CALS and PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire. RNs are expected to remain current in BLS, ACLS, TNCC/CALS and PALS/ENPC throughout their career at REH. Five years of acute care nursing experience. One year of leadership (charge nurse, supervisory role, manager). Preferred Bachelor Degree in Nursing. Emergency Department and/or critical care nursing experience. Demonstrated interpersonal relationship that enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff mentoring and development. Demonstrated leadership, organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to work in stressful situations. Excellence in oral and written communication skills.
