About AbbottThe Senior (Sr.
) PowerBI Developer will use their passion as a developer to identify and implement system improvements, mentor teammates, and enhance our existing team's knowledge as we develop various business intelligence (BI) solutions, including PowerBI dashboards and data visualizations for use across the organization.
This role will contribute to the Digital Delivery Project.
The successful candidate possesses energy to deliver tasks individually and within the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Quickly demonstrate understanding of business use cases and implications of various data structures and visualization options Translates business requirements into technical requirements to implement complex solutions Analyze data / systems and develop detailed specifications for implementation and documentation Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in reporting and automation solutions and consult business stakeholders Mentors, collaborates with and advises team members on PowerBI Build and manage complex data sets and dataflows (ex.
PowerBI dataflows) Author complex automated or manual reports, KPIs, and dashboards Provide support to report authors on visualization usage, data modeling, DAX and Power Query.
Designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains, and supports BI deliverables with a focus on Microsoft Power BI.
Understand business reporting specifications and dataset needs, relating technical requirements to architectural and other resources (i.
e.
, ETL) Mix great design and user experience to deliver easy to consume reports and data visualizations that users loveCOMPETENCIES Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice Comfortable working in newly forming, ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are key skills Intellectually rigorous, analytical, and curious Dynamic, motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented creative thinker and problem solver Elicit requirements through customer-focused discovery meetings.
