Rand Tower Hotel offers a central city location in the heart of downtown MinneapolisStep into our lovingly restored Art Deco spaces and experience the finest in contemporary amenities and comfortsSet in a historic landmark building, our boutique hotel celebrates the grandeur and convivial spirit of the 1920s with spectacular design, gracious service, and exciting culinary experiencesConceived by Minneapolis-based chef and restaurateur Daniel del Prado, our three restaurants and bars each bring distinct points of view on French cuisineWe are looking for a someone with a strong background in hotel/resort facilities management, has a passion for providing customer service, is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team as a The Director of EngineeringThis person will manage the Resort's Maintenance departmentsThis includes all related activities such as participation in executive committee meetings, hiring and maintaining an effective work force appropriate for an upscale Resort, establishing, and maintaining preventative maintenance programs for all equipment, systems, guestrooms, and public areas/ general maintenanceThey will participate in effective safety programs, coordinate, and implement capital improvement projects, establish, maintain, and manage department budgets and monthly forecastsThis person will lead a team to oversee the physical condition of the property, the management of outside contracts and the functions of the Facility Services department in managing the workflow (repairs, maintenance, mechanical, FF&E, Life Safety Systems), of the preventive and corrective maintenance systemsYour role:
oAssign and verify completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of resort, all mechanical systems and any other systems which effect the operation of the facility.
oVisually inspect quality of work and direct staff and outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.
oConducts walk-through and visually assesses the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the Resort, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, vehicles and any other related equipment.
oManage adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools and material for the department Enforce Hotel / Resort and Company policies and procedures.
oMust be able to respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, and other life-safety situations.
oParticipate as a member of the Resort's Executive Committee.
oMaintain a working knowledge of all federal, state, local laws, codes, and regulationsAssure proper certification of all employee mechanics and technicians, as required.
oSolicit and negotiate, prepare, and administer agreements and contracts with consultants and contractors.
oLiaison with governmental agencies and manage the procurement and compliance with entitlements, permits, inspections, notices, and other requirements.
oProduce annual operating budget for payroll, expenses, utilities, and capital improvements.
oProvide budget analysis each period.
oMaintain the Resort facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
oParticipate in or possibly manage the property's safety committeeAssure proper certification of all employee mechanics and technicians, as required.
oAct as a resource for all departments of the Hotel

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
