About the positionThe Project Manager provides overall administrative and technical direction for electrical service projects with new and existing accounts.
Project Managers have overall bottom-line responsibility for profit and loss and consequently, carry the authority appropriately.
Project Managers provide technical and engineering support as required by the projects needed.
Day in the life Direct, plan, implement, and independently manage all phases and activities of each project from start to finish, relentlessly driving all aspects of project execution.
Conduct job start-up meetings with field operations leaders to discuss plans and schedules.
Actively monitor progress toward accomplishing highest-priority goals and projects.
Lead and direct project activities, working to overcome barriers to project and team effectiveness.
Resolve project challenges in high-pressure situations while maintaining effectiveness, professionalism, and a strategic view of project priorities.
Partner with project foreman and project team members to conduct inspections, and job safety audits, and assure accurate scope, placement, and conformance with the contract.
Serve as a representative for the company and primary point of contact for customers.
Build meaningful relationships, grow and develop professionally, and have opportunities to advance to senior project manager and operational management roles.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or IBEW Apprentice Training Certificate or equivalent in job experience in Project Management in the trades Minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience Superior communication skills, both written and verbal Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills Knowledge of the National Electrical Code Must possess strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project Experience with project management methodologies and techniques, construction methods and materials, estimating and costing, and construction software such as Accubid and Bluebeam Revu a plus -Electrical Service Project Managers can work remotely but must be willing to travel to Minneapolis for quarterly team building meetings.
