Minneapolis, MN Position Summary Join a group that cares about design as much as you do! The Senior Project Designer and Office Design Leader is a two-part leadership role that starts with leading by example, driving an exemplary design culture, and bringing design excellence to all that you do. A Senior Project Designer will lead the full spectrum of project design - from pursuit, to award, and throughout execution - working through our design process, closely with integrated project teams and our clients. The Minneapolis Office Design Leader will join our Regional Leadership Team and will work closely with other Project Designers and Leaders supporting a work environment that fosters innovation while inspiring, guiding, mentoring and coaching office staff. Ultimately you will be responsible for design on your projects and within the entire body of work coming out of the Minneapolis office - from design excellence to value, culture, and recognition. The successful candidate will Be recognized and respected as a design expert within the industry. Have a passion for leading an integrated design team and mentoring young designers. Promote design excellence through design charettes, critiques, project shares, and design award submissions. Provide thought leadership and innovation within the firm as well as with clients and the industry. Attend industry events and improve DLR Group brand recognition through awards, publications, conferences, and speaking engagements. Have ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills. Have a comprehensive understanding of the design and coordination aspects of all design disciplines. Have ability to travel as projects require. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience, 10 years (or more), as a Project Designer and Design Leader. Bachelor's Degree in a design discipline, I.e., Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Lumion, Sketch-up and other 3D Rendering Software. Preferred Qualifications Minnesota licensed/certified design professional in your discipline. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
