Experience Required: o Minimum one (1) year experience inventory control, perferably in a healthe care setting.
o Medical terminology experience preferred.
o Customer Service experience preferred

o Proficient in oral and written communication using English language sufficient to perform functions of position
o Knowledge of and skilled in computer software applications.
Education Required: o High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
Job Description: The Exchange Room Aide assists the surgical team in case cart preparation and delivered requested
supplies, instruments and equipment to the surgical suite. The Exchange room aide receives directions from the control desk manager and/or the surgical team to meet the defined goals of the patient, shift, department and organization. Collaborates with the SPD department to ensure customer service. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions or problems that arise
are an essential element of the role.

Oversees the exchange room items( sutures, instrumentation, equipment) ensuring accuracy in
case cart completion. Ensures quick response to requests for items to the OR suite and
maintains stock as appropriate. Works on committees as requested to improve flow, stock and
operations of the exchange room. Understand and Operates flash sterilizer and steris equipment
according to hospital policy and procedure.
Additional Requirements:Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
