Job Description Ameriprise Financial Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Minneapolis, MN to provide oversight related to design, code, testing, implementation, maintenance and support applications software. Work closely with customers, business analysts, technology, and project team to understand business requirements, and drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and technology strategies and comply with the organization s architectural standards.
Responsibilities Ameriprise Financial Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Minneapolis, MN to provide oversight related to design, code, testing, implementation, maintenance and support applications software. Work closely with customers, business analysts, technology, and project team to understand business requirements, and drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and technology strategies and comply with the organization s architectural standards. Provide technical guidance to the development team through the full software lifecycle.
Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience designing, developing, coding, and building software applications in relevant Java programming languages and web technologies and experience in full software development lifecycle, testing system codes and programs, and Agile Scrum Methodology. Candidates must have experience using Informatica client and PL/SQL to design and build optimized stored procedures and ETL jobs, UNIX shell scripting, build using Maven, unit and integration test for service layer and database layer using JUNIT Mock objects, as well as experience with migration of applications from Websphere 5.1 to 7.0. Experience must include advanced design and development skills in the following: Java, JMS, Spring frameworks and web services using REST/SOAP.
