General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Advanced Information Technology Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. Key Responsibilities
Senior Advanced Information Technology Engineers provide information system solutions and technical support to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and our clients. Responsibilities include personal computer and client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, and database design and administration. These employees also handle telecommunications and network support and administration.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation and management of multiuser computer systems and local area networks. This position requires expertise with the performance of troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance on hardware and software components. Lead a team of Windows/Linux system administrators to support multiple projects across unclassified and classified environments. Responsible for loading and verifying correct operation of the operating systems and the various sub-components. This includes managing login/domain accounts and file access rights, establishing DNS and email servers. In addition, this employee will be asked to work with the security team to establish/maintain current and future security documentation and requirements.
Coordinates operations and maintenance activities for MS Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux instances in both physical and virtual environments. Administers storage and its associated SAN infrastructure across multiple environments and hardware platforms. Lead the planning through implementation of all architecture and design changes involving Windows, Linux, and SAN storage infrastructure, including: upgrades, migrations, resource consolidation, growth forecasting, and system/process optimizations. Fosters inter-team communication and cross-training to encourage professional development and increase operational redundancy. Cultivates strong customer relationships; responds with flexibility to customer requests and anticipates customer needs.
1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
3. Sets up administrator and service accounts.
4. Maintains system documentation
5. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
6. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
7. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
8. May program in an administrative language.
9. Oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results.
10. Provides advice and training to end-users.
11. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
12. Serves as a technical team or task leader.
13. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
14. Participates in special projects as required.

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of technological systems and programming, and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems technology.
The Senior Advanced Information Technology Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent and eight to ten years of related experience, or a masters degree with six to eight years of related experience.
Department of Defense final secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Also, a TS/SCI, obtainable with Polygraph within 24 months of hire.
Windows and Linux administration experience (patching, system hardening, experience managing NFS and Samba shares)
Experience in the virtual workstation environment.
Experience with Citrix, VMWare or Hyper-V Hypervisiors.
Experience with Patch Management WSUS and Bigfix.
Experience with configuring and maintaining Virtual Desktops and Servers.
Experience with Microsoft Core Technologies; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCOM, SCCM and Exchange (Exchange 2007 at a minimum, 2010 preferred)
Detail-oriented and have a solid understating of Windows Server 2008R2. Experience with SharePoint and SQL 2008R2/2012 a plus.
Operating systems including UNIX, NT, SQL, Sun, Windows, etc with a PRIMARY specialty in Linux (Red Hat or Centos).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
