Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
To plan and maintain daily supply chain operations for critical suppliers or customers in materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, or order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.
Achieving and continuously improving customer service levels, and/or manage inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the Supply Chain.
Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.
Manage the daily operational processes for a critical segment of the supply chain.
Eliminate potential supply chain failures as part of the daily planning process.
Champion preventive practices to eliminate expediting to supply chain leadership as appropriate to prevent problems.
Lead cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement short and mid-term tactical improvements
Complies with communication plans and processes to ensure stakeholders' needs are met.
Leverage common processes tools, and information systems
Approve system strategies and advise on changes to planning systems parameters as required.
Analyze and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
Lead Six Sigma and functional process improvement teams.
Liaise with functional stakeholders to mitigate mid-term supplier or customer constraints.
Mentor and coach supply chain planners.
Ensure common processes are being utilized and internal controls are in place
Analytical Reasoning - Applies basic research methodologies and statistical analysis to solve problems. Synthesizes and analyzes low to moderately complex data, information and evidence in order to draw meaningful conclusions.
Project Management - Has a good understanding of and effectively applies project management techniques in low to moderately complex projects.
Supply Chain Knowledge - Works in or with the Supply Chain functions and has knowledge of how the functions work to meet our end customer's requirements.
Manage Execution - Solid understanding of how to manage execution. Manages the performance of self and others through the use of structured tools. Delegates effectively and regularly with solid support and follow through. Uses defined processes to manage execution.
Fosters Open Communication - Demonstrated results indicating deep knowledge of fostering open communication. Expresses reactions and opinions without intimidating others. Actively encourages others to express their honest views, even contrary ones and listens actively to all viewpoints. Encourages others to share information in an organized and effective manner. Conducts periodic department or division wide informational meetings. Develops processes, plans, and schedules to provide relevant information and obtain feedback from the organization.

Inventory Control And Management - Understand inventory control and management principals and how they impact the local and global supply chain. Understand how the inventory management principles and objectives must tie together to insure continuity in the supply chain.
Supplier Performance Management - I understand functional roles and responsibilities requisite to appropriately manage supplier performance and I fulfill my responsibilities; I ensure suppliers understand their performance deficiencies and Cummins expectations relative to continuous improvement.
Production Planning - Specialized training in line balancing, inventory planning, scheduling, etc. Able to effectively use these tools to adjust to changes in production in the current system. Able to implement changes with appropriate support.
Focus on Customer needs - Familiar with key Cummins customers. Knowledge would include business strategies, organizational structures, geographic footprints, financial results, internal processes, and primary needs for effective segmentation.
Cross Functional knowledge - Understands the basic high-level tasks for each functional area (Marketing, Technical, Purchasing, Planning & Logistics, etc)
Experience
3 to 5 years previous experience in a Supply Chain role.
APICS, ISM or AQC Certification required.
Lead improvement projects in the supply chain processes and lead and/or support cross-functional teams.
Sustaining Planning role with more challenging suppliers including some high unit cost and/or overseas suppliers.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
B.S or B.A in applicable field
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience plus annualized bonus potential.
