Clinical Resource Hub -Psychiatrist

The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) seeks a full time Telehealth Psychiatrist to function as an independent provider for clinical coverage at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The primary responsibility will be to perform mental health evaluations and manage a broad range of patients with mental health conditions via Telehealth modalities. The Telehealth Physician may also provide mental health consultation for Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners as requested. Psychiatry patients represent a unique group of patients who have high resource needs over a protracted period of time. The resource needs of psychiatry patients are highest when they are not optimally managed. It is, therefore the expectation that the Telehealth Psychiatry physician will facilitate systems approaches and cross discipline management to optimally care for these patients. Assignments can include serving on a BHIP team, in an RRTP, on a psychiatric inpatient unit, doing PCMHI work, or even mental health emergency services. Preferred provider is board eligible or board certified in psychiatry. Additionally, providers with women's health background are idea. General tour of duty is Monday -Friday 0800-1630, Central Time. The position may include after hours, expanded hours, and weekend responsibilities. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
