R&D SW Architect - RF Solutions
Job Description
Experienced SW engineer to lead development of state-of-the-art application solutions. The hiring team currently develops world-class solutions used to design and test the latest advanced A/D systems and components including satellite systems, RADAR and other RF and Microwave components and systems.
As a principal SW architect, lead the design and implementation of automation control routines to enable precise, repeatable characterization measurements utilizing Keysight s portfolio of instrumentation hardware. Modalities of instrumentation include network analyzers, signal sources, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Position Responsibilities
- Be the lead software architect for control algorithm modeling and measurement metrology.
- Liaison between internal instrument development teams and software solution team.
- Work with a team of software engineers and measurement scientists to develop new applications written in C#/C++.
- Learn the architecture of the existing applications.
- Work with the project s engineering team to help design and implement user interfaces for new capabilities being added to existing applications.
- Work in the Visual Studio 2017
development environment and TFS/GIT for version control and task management. - Develop reliable algorithmic software models that are re-usable and empirically provable.
- Create clear and complete documentation for all new classes, methods and properties added to the solution.
Job Qualifications
This position requires:
- 10
years proven SW development experience - Proven expert level experience in .NET/WPF/C#/C+
with special emphasis in numerical methods and instrument automation. - General programming skills, software design, software debugging, software documentation, and software testing.
- Ability to analyze user requirements and to translate requirements into working solutions.
- Ability to solve problems without extensive guidance and proven ability to work well in a team of developers.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Based on customer requirements, US citizenship is required
Desired skills:
- Master s degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Strong desire for expert in signal source architecture.
- Background in DSP/filter design.
- Background in automated calibration measurements.

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
