Greenheck Group is currently hiring for a Material Handler in our Minneapolis, MN location.
Material Handlers start at $17.
82/hour plus a $0.
75 shift differential for second shift.

General
Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining flow of materials and supplies throughout the factory as well making sure that the facility remains clean.

The Material Handler is also responsible for checking and maintaining proper inventory levels of key components and raw material.

Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Identify active production jobs that are active on the shop floor.
  • Conduct a check on supply needs for each area (inventory in each production area).
  • Uses production schedule information to pull, stage, and deliver appropriate parts and raw materials for each production area.
  • Materials received are verified against the packing slip and SAP
  • Notify Supervisor or Material Specialist if there is a difference between the materials received and the packing slip or SAP.
  • All material is placed into the appropriate location within the warehouse area.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the factory.
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks (5S).
  • Operate overhead lifting equipment and material handling equipment as needed based on safety guidelines.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as needed.

Job Specifications:

  • Material Handlers start at $17.

    75 shift differential
  • High School or GED required.
  • Between 3-6 months of prior warehouse or material handler experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    on a regular basis.
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Continuous movement lifting, bending, etc.
  • Work requires strong attention to detail and a high focus on safety and quality.
  • High concentration levels and a strong awareness of surroundings.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment (material handling equipment, etc.
    ).
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to know and identify different parts accurately.
  • Ability to read and understand directions and packing slips.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Time management skills.
  • Moderate analytical skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED
